From Hiking to a Valentine's Hat Trick

Love is in the air

Hey Royal, what's good?

I didn’t send a chronicle last week and I’m not trying to make another excuse for it but the image below is a visual representation of my life at the moment.

In Lejit’s words “Sometimes I beat myself up but I remember I’m also showing up for other areas of my life”. This is the story of my life and last week was one of those days.

I know you may be tempted to ask why I don’t just plan my content and schedule them ahead but it’s not that straightforward with me and I’ll figure it out soon.

Now, speaking about planning, what are your plans for Valentine’s Day 2024?

Last year, I shared some ideas with you and this year, I’m back with a few more but first, story time.

I Went Hiking & Fell

One day while living in the Purple Room, I went on a hiking trip with three guys I had never met before and had a big fall. If you love hiking like me, you’d know that the view from the top of a mountain is always breathtaking but you cannot imagine what it feels like to be out of breath after a fall on a mountain.

But I wasn’t hurt cause what happened was that I fell in love with someone who took my breath away and still does!

Love is beautiful.

Why did I share this story?

Firstly, this is the first time that I’d be celebrating Valentine’s day three times in a row with the same person (can we call it a hat trick?) and I am super grateful for the journey so far.

I also shared this to tell you not to settle for less, if you’re single. Of course, no one’s perfect but you must choose your “imperfection” with care.

Finally, don’t let anybody rush you because God makes all things beautiful in his time.

What About The Ideas for Celebrating this Valentine?

I’m going to leave them below and it does not matter if you’re single or in a relationship, one of these would definitely work for you.

1. Picnic - Throw out a blanket and some pillows, set up some quick bites, light a scented candle, put on some music, and the rest is up to you.

2. Paint - Get painting supplies and follow a tutorial on Youtube to unlock your inner Picasso and create a beautiful memory for yourself or partner.

3. Vlog - I’m an advocate of keeping every memory and if you strive to get every part of your day on camera, you’d be intentional about the things you do and in the end, the tape will be your prize.

4. Glass blowing - I don’t advise practicising this but I find it very fascinating and I’d recommend watching videos of glass being blown. You’d love it, or not.

5. Virtual hangout - If you’re in a LDR, just take all the previous ideas and make it yours.
